Depending on how you use MockVisaPrep, we may collect:

• Account details: name, email address, password (hashed), and role (student, consultancy staff, or admin).
• Sign-in with Google, Facebook, or Apple: basic profile identifiers and email provided by that provider (we do not receive your social password).
• Interview profile: academic, English-test, and financial context you enter so the AI officer can ask relevant questions.
• Session media: microphone audio (and optionally camera video preview) during live mock interviews, plus transcripts and interview recordings used for scoring and feedback.
• Usage & device data: browser type, approximate region, timestamps, and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
• Billing data: purchase history, session credits, and payment references from our payment partners (we do not store full card or wallet secrets on our servers).

• Create and manage your account and workspaces.
• Run live AI mock interviews, generate transcripts, and produce feedback scores.
• Personalize officer questions using the profile information you provide.
• Process payments, allocate session credits, and send receipts or service emails.
• Improve product quality, detect abuse, and keep the platform secure.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

Mock interviews require microphone access so the AI officer can hear you. Camera access is optional for your on-screen self-view. Audio may be transcribed and temporarily processed by our AI providers to power the conversation and scoring. Recordings and transcripts associated with a session may be stored so you (and, where applicable, your consultancy) can review results later.

If you choose social login, the provider shares limited account information with us (typically name and email) so we can create or sign you into a MockVisaPrep account. You can disconnect social login through that provider's account settings. Our use of Facebook Login follows Facebook's Platform Terms and this Privacy Policy.

We share data only as needed to operate MockVisaPrep:

• Infrastructure & AI providers that host audio, transcription, and interview models under contract.
• Payment processors for checkout and verification.
• Your consultancy organization, if you join a consultancy workspace — admins/staff may see interview results and profile context linked to that workspace.
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We keep account and interview data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing [email protected]. Some records may be retained where the law requires.

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.

• Update profile information in your account settings.
• Mute or disable camera/microphone in the browser during sessions.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting us.
• Opt out of non-essential marketing emails via the unsubscribe link (service emails may still be sent).

MockVisaPrep is intended for students preparing for visa interviews and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Our service and vendors may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of MockVisaPrep after an update means you accept the revised policy.
